Check mate: Giant chess board in Auburn for school holidays

During the summer holidays Auburn residents will have the chance to polish their knowledge of rooks, bishops, knights, queens and pawns by enrolling in special coaching classes and a giant chess board game.

The program will include three Chess Coaching classes at Lidcombe Community centre.

Aimed at five to 16-year-olds the program costs $2 per person, with both beginners and more advanced players catered for.

The classes will be held on Wednesday January 7, 14 and 21 between 1pm and 3pm.
