Liverpool Council elections shouldnt be decided by party politics
It is only sensible that if we get the best 11 candidates elected who will form a united and a cohesive council it will benefit all residents young and old.
We must put in policies that we bring a sensible development of the area and help forge the area in the future.
It is well known that the area will virtually double in size over the next 25 years and the futures fate will depend on decision that the council will make hopefully with the assistance of the State Government.
For too long the area has been manipulated by certain interests and this must be limited to benefit all.

The telegraph 2nd Sept has a article which shows some independents are running for council even though they are members of political parties to woo disillusioned voters.When I campaigned yesterday at Voyager point yestrerday a resident commented to me it was refreshing to see a candidate devoid of party loyalties and that is what Local government should be all about.The fight against the Moorebank Intermodal is importantth at it is devoid of political factions to get a proper balance of things.Also I am determined to get onto council to serve the interesto f residents to have a more peaceful and contened society John Anderson south ward Independent candidate Liverpool council elections 8/9/2 mob.0409368603

Well John, the results are in and thanks to all the Independents, Liverpool now has a Liberal Council that can virtually do as they please. Had the four Independents pooled their resources and contributed to one team instead of running on single issues, we would have a Council that is not controlled by either party. It is hoped that the Liberals will use their power wisely. I remain to be convinced, no amount of logical discussion will convince a party that has the balance of power to abandon a particular mind set.
