State Joint Regional Planning Panel unleashed the beast!

I am bewildered how a mixed development (17 commercial and 198 residential units development was recommended last night by the State Joint Regional Planning Panel. Kellyville Ridge which is located in the North West has one main arterial road which leads into Kellyville Ridge from Windsor road. The road is utilised by thousands of residents per day. I was in shock and so are the many numbers of residents last night when the JRPP deliberated on their decision to give Blacktown Council Planning Department and the Developers a big win. The cold and calculating decision by the faceless men and women only depicts to me that our newly elected State Government are no better than the previous Government. Mr O’Farrell promised that these panels would be abolished once he got in. Well Mr O’Farrell where were you last night! Are you going to make it all better for the 10,000 odd men, women and children that call Kellyville Ridge, the Ponds and Stanhope Gardens home. And not to mention that our area is one of the largest land release in the North West Growth Sector……. If anything, it exposed Blacktown Council for what it’s worth, and only proves that good planning and infrastructure is not on their agenda. Our community has been rocked by this decision, and we only know too well what the implications will be…they have unleased the beast. We are going to live in a traffic, accident and overdevelopment all in one single spot on Merriville Road. The outcome is going to affect the quality of our lives. What is wrong with everyone, why are we selling our souls, why are we not investing into the future of Australia? I tell you why, because have lost what the principles are for running what was the best country in the world! We have insects of politicians that have no spine, that only see what’s in it for them. If we don’t take control of ensuring that we have good planning, infrastructure and controlling how we make decisions for the better good of every tax people man and women then I believe we are doomed and it will not be our generation that will pay dearly for the decision that are made by these idiots that we call our Federal, state and local governments. Every single one of them has an agenda, and every single political party has an agenda. The only agenda they should have is us. Nothing more, nothing less! Today Kellyville Ridge are lost, but we will pick ourselves up and maybe a lesson will be learned by Blacktown Council at the 8 September local council elections, when the community will say NO to them for what they have done to us.
