DNSDC nothing to do with the SIMTA Intermodal.
More spin and outrageous claims by another government employed spin doctor that delivered some community consultation brochures, to those lucky enough to receive one... They distance themselves immediately from the SIMTA and Federal Government Intermodals, they have nothing to do with the relocation of the DNSDC to within 80 Metres of peoples' homes!!..... More jobs during construction and then the clincher “more jobs for locals” when it's completed…… Which locals are they talking about?..... the ADF personnel?... I have in my possession an ADF document that specifically states the civil work force will be cut by 30% to operate the new facility……. This new facility will be state of the art in handling and electronic functions thus requiring fewer employees….. It also brings into question if its sensible or even safe to bring warehousing that stores all sorts of ADF parts and equipment so close to residential properties ……Who are we to believe, the spin doctors or the ADF document?.... Seems like this present government can't tell the truth about anything anymore.

I agree with you ray the parties behind the intermodals have a lot to answer for in the shabby way they are treating local residents.I have rang both local federal and state members office to voice my disgust in the way they are treating residents like fools. At a previous meeting with army representative I stated that the Intermodals and army installations are raising security in the area to alarming levels and the government and the army have a duty of care to treat the residents fairly which is probably expecting too much for them to have any concerns for residents as they are trampling on our rights in a big way.The pollution in the area is disraceful now with the present explosion of heavy vehicles which I believe are trying to anticipate approval for the Intermodals. After intensive research into health and other concerns into the impact into the local enbvironment.I am convinced a normal environmental impact statement will rule out these disgraceful projects. We all know the issues why arent they being addressed JOhn Anderson wattle grove.0409368603

YES THIS PRESENT FEDERAL GOV'T CANNOT TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT JACK S---- ANYMORE....BUT......NEITHER CAN THE GOOFBALL FEDERAL OPPOSITION WHO ARE COMPLETELY CLUELESS ABOUT THE OUTSIDE WORLD. ALL THEY KNOW IS MORE NEOCONSERVATIVE ECONOMICS..... AND ALSO GETTING THEIR 'MOUTHPIECES' IN MEDIA TO CONVINCE THE PUBLIC HOW 'WONDERFUL' & 'FRESH' THEIR VISION IS TO BE FOR US. AND IN '2012' OF ALL YEARS. IN 2012 (SUPPOSED SPACE AGE) WE DONT HAVE 'A POT TO PISS IN' BECAUSE BIG BIZZ HAS TAKEN THE LION'S SHARE. If folks cannot see this yet they must be blind. We also cannot afford to build that 'pot to piss in' because the trough is empty.

That's so true! Greedy tycoons like Gina Reinhart, Andrew Forrest and Chris Corrigan have fortunes into the BILLIONS $$$. Multi-BILLIONS $$$. Yet the commoners (via their governments) can't even have a new school, or a new railway line, or a new road, because there's no money. Out of Gina Reinhart's $29 BILLION fortune, why won't she shed just a measly $175 million for a new bridge? As rather a 'gift' to the city of Sydney just to help out! Because of her absolute greed, inconsideration and malice. 'Money' is the name of the game.

The trough wasn't empty when Howard was ditched. We are now faced with the prospect of all our future earnings through mining and resources being mortgaged to the hilt by the present Labour Government with unbridled borrowings, soon to be lifted to a limit of 300 BILLION dolllars. Someone is going to have to pay it back and at the rate of borrowings, our grand children and their grand children will be slaving over these debts. To be able to invest, by any government, they have to be sure of future revenue, you have to earn it before you can spend it.... Economic responsibilty isn't the Labor Government's strong point ever since past and present.

What crap! Crap! John Howard was simply 'Humphrey Bear' & Kevin Rudd later on was 'Fat Cat' Both major parties are as bad as each other, both are a big disappointment. Johnny Howard didnt spend hardly anything on key roads and rails. AND I've seen ghastly photographs of the "medieval & dungeon" state of our roads and railways from EVEN AS FAR BACK AS THE MALCOLM FRASER YEARS! And now today we have "Dumb & Dumber" ...... Gillard & Abbott.

Apparently the Labor Party courts and flirts with big business, however the Liberals / the Liberal Party, especially the ones in Canberra, go even further than this and suck big business balls.

Ray thinks the earnings from mining & resources sectors goes back into society and communities. WRONG! It goes straight into the pockets of the tycoons who run them. And it is in the VERY LATEST S.M.H. EDITION NEWSPAPER THAT BOTH COLES AND WOOLWORTHS ARE NOW ATTACKING AND THROWING THEIR WEIGHT AROUND TO SMALL, LOCAL WINE PRODUCERS HERE ....... IF THEY VOICE DISSENT. So evidently..... big business pulls the strings of policy and planning.

Moonwalker, what an interesting concept, about as lunar as your assertion ALL the profits go into the back pockets of mining tycoons....have youlooked up lately how much they pay intaxes and royalties and how much they pay in wages to employees who pay income tax?...as for big business pulling the strings, where have you been all this time?? When did you wake up to that little piece of reality???....and Telford, crap yourself, you obviously have an axe to grind with ALL political persuasions it's a wonder you left out the Greens and every other political party....why don't YOU put up a story on Streetcorner and vent your spleen there, it's free.
Moonwalker,. posts
@ Ray Van ... I actually feel sorry for you ... quite sorry. It's a well known fact that these 'tycoons' evade taxation as much as they can, rob their workers of a decent paycheck & then send jobs offshore to remain "competitive" Where have YOU been living, hey? They pay 'a pittance' in royalties & taxes. That's why the street directories & photos of N.S.W. clearly show that our built environment for the last 50 years was very run down & primitive. They privatised even my dogs bone & bowl!

Lunar buddy, I feel sorry for your dog, he deserves better than you, much better. You come accross as a disgruntled wanna be who thinks the world owes him living, rorts every centrelink benefit and then some. If you have a gripe, write your own blog and comment on something that might interest you.... When you have something intelligent to say about the story line come back then.

I think I know what Moonwalker is probably getting at..... eg: fat Clive Palmer...with all his billions.... wants to build "another model of the old Titanic" Firstly, this signals he's still steeped in colonialism, but Secondly, he just wants to create another "big boy's toy" While Sydney suffers, WHY doesnt he use THAT money to give Sydney say ..... a new Spit Bridge?

Your’ digressing from the issue, some here are obvious protagonists for socialism and possibly communism. Unless there are incentives for people to better themselves no-one will do anything, that ideology is based on the “we are all the same” philosophy. China realised that earlier than most, that’s why it’s going ahead in leaps and bounds, same applies to Japan, no welfare state there either. When are we going to stop knocking successful businesses? Without them nothing would be gained, maybe we should just leave it all in the ground? How many of you sideline commentators actually got off your rear and contributed? Every one of those businesses have increased the wealth of our Nation, irrespective of how small. Hundreds of thousands of jobs would not exist but for them, Governments don’t have the foresight or ability to do it themselves. Jobs are being offered to overseas workers simply because few here want them, the dole is more attractive! Go vote Greens and really stuff this Country!
Arthur sums it up posts
@ Heinz, I really beg to differ from your right-wing -flavoured drivel! It's on the record "indisputably" now in the "Year 2012" that Governments the world over (as ambassadors & representatives of the public masses) have achieved "remarkably good societies" for the bulk of their peoples! Or do you just want to overlook the 2008/09 GFC and the "hugely documented corporate scandals and fiascos" that shocked so many? I just hope you dont have a problem with "collectivism" either, because the Good Lord did say to be "selfless" and "not" to be selfish! And to also "love thy neighbour" as yourself! Last but not least, the same figure also stressed to "be spiritual" & not obsess over "Earthly possessions & money" and with good reason too! Material things simply do not last & to "invest in spiritual things" instead is the wisest way! Money & material worship is ever-so futile! So GLORY TO SOCIALISM AND GOD BLESS IT! More consistent with "Gods way" than your "capitalism" ever will be, LOL! :)

Heinz's beloved 'capitalism' which literally means 'to indulge in assets & material things' hasnt been much of a success for the world. Obviously he does not like other human beings and is quite low on spirituality too. Does he have any friends? Because I do.

A load of hot-air coming from 'Mr Heinz' who hasnt seen the world enough or read history enough...........and with it the colossal teamwork down through millenia by the commoners in the spirit of selflessnes (like the monuments built for the gods in ancient and middle ages times)

It really is quite astounding how "Heinz" has bought into the "conservative/materialistic/money-hungry" philosophy & has no shame abbout it. And then thinks that "The Greens" will stuff the world up. Ouch! Especially when Jesus himself called for "the commons, equality & community-mindedness" I JUST HOPE YOU DON'T CALL YOURSELF A "CHRISTIAN" PAL.
