Centennial Parklands winter events program has been released today. Be part of the ‘Aussie Animal Olympics’, a Bush Ranger, or ride a horse through a park only five minutes from the hustle and bustle of the Sydney CBD.

The program offers a wide range of activities and events for kids and adults alike.

During the school holidays children can participate in:

• Kids Vs Wild survival session this season features the priority of finding and making a survival fire in a wilderness situation.

• Aussie Animal Olympics will warm you up for the London 2012 games with an afternoon of events based on the amazing skills of our native animals.

• Hibernation Nation teaches kids how the animals of Centennial Parklands survive winter. This session investigates through games and a bushwalk who hibernates, who migrates and who escapes.

Plus there are a range of major events for everyone to enjoy including the Centennial Parklands Father’s Day Plant Sale, the ever-popular Birdwatcher’s Breakfast, the Mission Australia Sleepout, Sydney Running Festival and much more!
