Musicoz is a national initiative dedicated to improving the quality of original music culture in Australia. Forover a decade Musicoz has been developing the music industry at the grass roots level by seeking out, recognising & encouraging the talents of unsigned and independent artists and providing them with much needed development support and opportunities as they carve out their careers.
Musicoz achieves these aims through:
Annual National Musicoz Awards Program
Covering 18 genres of music with over 5000 entries each year. Known in the media as "The Unsigned ARIAs", The Musicoz Awards give vital recognition, exposure to a national audience through our TV special of the awards being aired on national Television, as well as development opportunities to finalists and winners and the opportunity to work alongside well known artist surrounding the awards evening. These awards are the biggest and most credible awards for unsigned and independent music artists in Australia. Our media partners include: BigPond Music, YouTube and Facebook.

Chooka Parker has thanked his wonderful fan base for voting him through to take out Musicoz's People's Choice Award for 2012. During the comp. his many, many loyal fans overseas were also voting and in the process learning a lot about Australian music, so in the end Aussie music did get wide and prolonged exposure through Chooka's networks as well as Musicoz's. Good on you Chooka - you are a True Blue Aussie and master piano player. We love you!

Chooka Parker took out the People's Choice Award at the recent Musicoz 2012 Awards event held in the Sydney Opera House 15th May 2012.This event supports independent and unsigned artists. Chooka was a clear favourite for this award, holding 1st place out of 800 applicants for 7 weeks leading up to the event. Chooka is grateful to Musicoz for the opportunity and exposure this event afforded, and also to his many fans who voted for him and enabled him to win this award."Without my fans, I wouldn't have this award, so thank you so much!", he said recently.
