Council’s new look website is now just a click away

The countdown is on until Campbelltown City Council’s new look website goes live on Thursday 10 May, providing a new window to our city.

The new website has been developed with the community in mind and following significant community consultation with key user groups, who provided valuable feedback on ways to improve Council’s online presence.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Anoulack Chanthivong, said the launch of the new website was highly anticipated and an exciting opportunity to showcase our city through the site’s more contemporary look and feel.

“As the main portal for news and information on Council services, events and local attractions, Council’s new website has a greater customer focus, is more user-friendly and easier to navigate,” Cr Chanthivong said.

“There’s now also the opportunity to get monthly updates on what’s happening across our city via Council’s new eNewsletter, which anyone can easily subscribe to.

“The new website is constantly evolving to meet the various needs of our community, and Council invites residents’ feedback as part of this process to ensure we continue to provide optimal service.”

Improved accessibility is a highlight of the new site, and work will continue to further enhance this feature in line with national standards being rolled out over the next three years under the Federal Government’s National Transition Strategy.

Council’s new website also enables a greater move towards online business, with ePlanning and eBusiness capabilities to be introduced in the future.

As part of the redevelopment of Council’s site, the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost and Visit Macarthur websites also have a new look, and with direct links from Council’s home page to these sites, there are plenty of opportunities to learn more about the city’s largest community festival and discover all that is on offer in the region.

To celebrate the launch of its new website, Council is inviting people to provide feedback on the site. The first 100 people to comment on the new look site will each receive a free computer screen cleaning microcloth, featuring Council’s website mascot ‘Webster’.

Visit www.campbelltown.nsw.gov.au and fill out the feedback form by Friday 25 May for your chance to receive your free computer screen microcloth.
