Bears & Wildcats Open Pre-Season

The Northern Suburbs Bears and Parramatta Wildcats will meet in the first local pre-season game of the year, this Saturday night at the Auburn Basketball Centre. The Bears are being coached this season by current Sydney Kings Ambassador and former NBL journeyman Ben Knight, who will take on the often-imposing role as captain / coach.

Their line-up also includes three current Sydney Kings NBL Development Players, being Tom Wright, Jarrod Weeks and Tanner Kerry, along with seasoned veteran James Maccann and a host of talented Bears juniors.

The Wildcats may, perhaps, be less imposing 'on paper' but their key players this season will undoubtedly be two New Zealand exports, Tyrone Davey and Rangi Kennedy, along with veteran Goran Veg and sharp-shooters Matt Crowe and Adi Causevic.

Once you look past the 'name' players on both teams, the rank and file are very inexperienced at this level of basketball and there will be keen interest amongst fans from both teams, in this lead-up game, which may serve as a possible form guide for the upcoming season.

Saturday 4th February @ 6pm - Auburn Basketball Centre, Church Street, Lidcombe - Northern Suburbs Bears Men versus Parramatta Wildcats Men.
