We have all heard about the dangers of coal seam gas (CSG) and have been encouraged by the public opposition to proposed CSG projects. But does natural gas have an opportunity to sneak in by the back door?

Carbon trading will soon allow Australian polluters to export the dangers of fracking and natural gas. What role can we expect natural gas to play in the new economics of carbon trading? Who will profit and who will lose out?

Come to this Friends of the Earth (FoE) Sydney teach-in on the 22nd of October and join a conversation about the relationship between gas expansion, offsets and carbon trading, and the role of community organising.

Speakers: Jacinta Green, Stop Coal Seam Gas Sydney Glen Klatovsky, National Kimberley Campaigner, The Wilderness Society Michael Morphett, Beyond Zero Emissions Gareth Bryant, Friends of the Earth Sydney

Date: Saturday 22nd October, 2:00 - 4:00pm

Venue: Studio 10, Queen St Studios 10-14 Kensington Street, Chippendale (opposite UTS near Central Station and the Clare Hotel) Contact: foesydney@gmail.com http://qurl.com/t2cw9
