The history of aerosol art painted on Bondi Wall dates back to the 1960s, and the wall continues to contribute to the energetic character of Bondi Beach.

Waverley Council aims to maintain this dynamic character by supporting mural turnover.

Diversity will be achieved through balancing the type of murals painted and the variety of artists selected.

Designated mural art sites may be used for the development of a piece of artwork in the graffiti style or general graffiti writing.

Work that will have meaning for members of the general public and/or reflects on the Bondi Beach precinct is encouraged.

Offensive work is not permitted.

Work favouring and promoting a specific religion will not be approved.

The legal graffiti wall at Bondi Beach is an opportunity for talented graffiti artists to exhibit their skills at a highly visible and iconic location.

Over the years both local and overseas artists have successfully applied to paint their artwork. Due to the coastal environment, the wall needs updating regularly
