NSW Artist grants now cover the cost of making your works

A revised ‘NSW Artists Grant’ (formerly the ‘Marketing Grant for NSW Artists’), has been launched today by the National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA). Artists will now be able to apply for grants to meet the costs of producing or presenting new creative, travel,freight and technical assistance costs as well as marketing.

, said today, “In response to the way that artists now produce, present and promote their work, NAVA is excited to be able to deliver more targeted assistance," said Tamara Winikoff Executive Director of NAVA.

Some well known artists who have benefitted include Shaun Gladwell, Jasper Knight, Soda_Jerk, Michaela Gleave, Ken + Julia Yonetani, Lauren Brincat, Giles Ryder, Elvis Richardson, Daniel Mudie Cunningham, Bronwyn Bancroft, Huseyin Sami, Christopher Hanrahan and Brown Counci.

The NSW Artist Grant is offered in four quick response rounds with grants available to individuals for up to $1,250 ($1,375 inc GST) and to groups for up to $2,500 ($2,750 inc GST). Individuals and groups are eligible for one grant only from this scheme in any 12-month period.
