Beach cleanup needed at La Perouse

As a regular visitor to Congwong Beach at La Perouse I have noted that it needs regular cleanup to remove all the rubbish from there because it never seems to get a proper clean unlike other beaches in Sydney.

It's important that these community actions are supported by the local council. However the local council can further boost their cleaner numbers by holding a barbeque after finishing the clean-up. It encourages people within the community to come out for a family day out and BBQ to meet other people.

I have been notified some time ago by Randwick Council that they are not responsible for the upkeep of Congwong Beach and that they have refered this to National Parks but the point is that the beach remains dirty from rubbish mainly washed up but never seems to be cleaned up. All other Sydney beaches are cleaned up on regular basis- Why not Congwong?
