Wollondilly Council logo
Grant Walker from Nimatabel, in the Monaro region, will share his knowledge and skills in working with cob.
Cob is a building material that has been used for centuries that is made up of clay, straw, sand and water. Some of the oldest cob buildings in England date back to the 13th century and in New Zealand to the Mid 19th century.
Cob is sourced from all natural materials and the cost is minimal or nothing if you are resourceful and recycle materials. It is durable and can stand up to a variety of weather conditions.
This free workshop will be held on Monday, November 15 between 9am and 5pm at the Wollondilly Community Nursery, Wonga Road, Picton.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
