“The relationship with your city is definitely like a lover, sometimes you are floating on air taking in the atmosphere and feeling like there is no better place in the world right now, and at other times you wonder why are you are still living here and dream of moving on. But that is the beauty of the city you live in; the Love/Hate relationship is what makes it so authentic and entices you to forgive and accept the adventures of growth” Greater Sydney Partnership

I love Tamarama Beach and I hate the parking police, the cigarette butts and rude people who haven't got time to smile anymore. Lighten up, we live in the best city in the world and all you do is whinge. I love fish & chips on Bondi Beach (or Watson's Bay beer garden) and I even love the sea gulls. I love Centennial Park on a misty morning and bikini's!

There are possibly better cities to be brought up than Sydney - but for me and many Sydneysiders we don't know them. The positives about Sydney are too numerous to list. Unfortunately the negatives are creeping up and cannot be ignored. 13 years of population growth of over a million people with no real infrastructure development to match has lowered the amenity and lifestyle that we once knew. Families no longer see their breadwinners until late in the evening after battling a daily 1-2 hour commute home. This has a direct affect of tearing into relationships and family harmony when Dad or Mum arrive home too tired to engage positively with their children or their spouse. I'd love a parachute out of here

I love the weather. I love the natural environment in which Sydney is located; ringed by national parks and the big blue ocean. I hate how large Sydney is. Way too much sprawl, far too little medium and high density developments. Public transport will never keep pace with development if the development takes place outside of established corridors. Build up, not out.

I hate the fact that Immigration is being used as a weapon to conduct genocide of western culture in South Western Sydney. Born in Liverpool and still here, I’ve seen the culture of my town change so much I now feel like the migrant. But unlike many of the migrants who have the choice of returning home. I do not have this option as this is my home. Multiculturalism is a failure in these parts of Sydney

I love Sydneys history being from the oridginal boat people (Samual Terry)I love the many layers that have been place over this City from the lowly gutters to the Townhall, I love the Development that has taken place from the Redfern power companies single lunged generator to the drains and sewers. Our Military instillations built ready for the invasions that has never came.Middle head with 17?? convict slit trenchs and gun emplacements built to ward off the French and Russians to the WWI AND WW2 Guns and bunkers. I love the nudist beachs as well all at Middle head. I love the dramatic cliff top walk from Wastsons Bay to Botany. I hate developers and greed, blow ins who want to repeat the mistakes of the past over and over again without learning from the past.I hate wowsers who are killing our night life, social life, eleatist killing our egalaterism, value judging communities, intolarance that is invading the inner City. I am saddened by the lose of Artist, Musicians, and artisans due to lack of affordable space within the Inner City and noise complaints from blow ins urban nurrotics just arrived attempting a lifestyle change but killing of all of our lifestye before moving on to the next thing. I love a vibrate City that works and plays 24/7 without complaint or restrictions on lifestyle the people making this City great and tolerant for ALL.
