Auburn City Council, Blacktown City Council have joined up with NSW Police and local high schools to deliver a day long program called ‘Under the Radar Youth Forum’ to increase road safety for young people. The program aims to making driving safer for both drivers and their passengers.

Milan Letunica, Road Safety Officer Auburn Council said the program aims to help young drivers develop a driving plan for handling potentially dangerous situations. It focuses on safe driving of the actions of other road users or unfavourable conditions.

“The activities on the day will challenge student attitudes and values and encourages them to question their behaviour, increasing the likelihood that they will internalise the key messages and act on them,” said Milan Letunica.

Do you think dangerous driving is an issue for young drivers in Western Sydney?

The forum will be held at Auburn Town Hall on the 11th June 2010 from 9am till 3pm.
