Death in Bowengabbie Review (March 11 - March 26)

Oscar Bowen is confronting his childhood in a small town of Bowengabbie, where many of the ageing population are dying.

Oscar hasn’t been back home for 15 years and has lived his life with little loves with little l’s.

Oscar is drawn home to attend these bizarre themed send offs for an aging population in a town that died many years ago.

Bowengabbie once a vibrant town with a juicy jam factory, that has long since been shut down and the town has no opportunities to hold on to young people. Written and Directed by Caleb Lewis this is a dark comedy with Ocar played by Andrew Brackman plays narrator as well as plays all the characters of this quirky small town.

You get sucked in to feeling sad for Bowengabbie as it represents many small towns that fade away.

"4/5 Brackmans performance is complex carrying off multiple characters that makes you feel like there’s a town on stage."
