The mighty men in blue, the HSBC Waratahs, will hit Campbelltown Sports Stadium, Leumeah on Monday 7 December for an open training session.

Fans will have an opportunity to see the NSW Rugby Union team in action, and meet star players, including Captain Phil Waugh, Al Baxter, Adam Freier, Will Caldwell and Daniel Halangahu, from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.

SBC Green Screen Interactive, which enables you to superimpose your face on an image of one of the HSBC Waratahs players.

Local team, the Harlequins Rugby Union Club, will have a stall on the day, to provide information to aspiring players.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Aaron Rule, said the HSBC Waratahs visit to Campbelltown Sports Stadium was an opportunity to highlight the upgrades to the City’s prime sporting facility.

“The open training session will further develop Council’s relationship with NSW Rugby Union and the HSBC Waratahs, and provide a significant boost to local junior rugby union teams.

“Major events, such as the high profile HSBC Waratahs visit, reinforce the reputation of Campbelltown Sports Stadium as a high quality regional sporting facility,” Cr Rule said.

The HSBC Waratahs participate in the Super 14 competition, which kicks off in February 2010.
