Thieves snatch jewellery during robbery — Haberfield

Police from the Ashfield Local Area Command are investigating a robbery that occurred in Haberfield yesterday. About 4.10pm, a 36-year-old jewellery salesman stopped his vehicle in Ramsey Road, near the rear of the shops. As he was about to get out of his vehicle he was approached by four men. One man held him in his seat while the other men smashed his car windows and stole a briefcase containing valuable jewellery. The men also gained access to the boot of the victim’s car and stole a further three bags of jewellery. All four men jumped into a white sedan and left the scene. The victim was not injured during the incident. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call Ashfield Detectives via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
