Community for All - Volunteer Program wants adults with mild intellectual disability who are interested in doing volunteer work.
*6 easy to understand training sessions on Volunteering. *Individual assistance to be placed in a volunteer position. *4 support phone calls while you are volunteering.
Community for All is a unique program where adults with mild intellectual disabilities will be given the training and support they need to work as a volunteer in the community. There will be a training session once a week for 6 weeks in July / August. The coordinator of the program will arrange individual volunteer placement in local community organisations. These will be determined by the participant’s interests and the available opportunities. The coordinator will also provide follow up phone calls to support participants in their volunteer roles. Community for All is designed to make volunteering more accessible for adults with mild intellectual disabilities. Local community organisations will also benefit from the services offered by a diverse group of volunteers. Community for All is funded by FaCS.

Community organisations looking for volunteers may also be interested in Community for All – Volunteer Program to fill their vacancies. All the course participants are independent; have great personal strengths, experience, and a positive attitude to offer. They just need some supervision in their roles, where the focus is on everyone’s unique abilities (rather than disability).
