Event Description:
“Matthew Day is out to change Australian dance” The Brag

Entering a soft blue-black chamber, the audience encounter a lone figure circling at its centre – almost imperceptibly. This repetitive circular movement gradually produces a multiplicity of unconscious rhythms and subterranean waves.

Intermission, the final work in Matthew Day’s TRILOGY series explores durational choreographic forms, and the body as a site of continual becoming and infinite potential. Set to a minimal and unrelenting live sound score by James Brown, this intensely physical dance work invites the spectator to experience choreography in active and embodied ways.

Concept/Choreography/Performance: Matthew Day Dramaturgy: Martin del Amo Sound Design: James Brown Lighting Design: Travis Hodgson Producer: Katy Green Management: Moriarty’s Project Inc. Presented by PACT centre for emerging artists
